From Weeds to Wonder:
LCA's Outdoor Learning Lab

The Woodlands Garden Club Grant at Work

This year, the Lake Creek Academy Fund for Learning helped secure a Woodlands Garden Club grant that is turning an overgrown patch of campus into a vibrant Outdoor Learning Lab.

What was once a tangle of waist-high weeds is now a cleared garden space with water flowing to the sprinklers, fresh soil, and plans for vegetable, fruit, flower, herb, and pollinator beds taking shape under the Texas sun.

Soon, LCA's EcoSciences classes will be out in the garden with Ms. Julie, our Environmental Sciences teacher, learning how to grow fruits, vegetables, and native plants while keeping real field journals and caring for the land together.

The WGC's "seed grant" is already doing far more than buying supplies—it's

giving students a place to belong, to get their hands in the dirt, and to see that their school and their community believe in what they can grow.

Teens (ages 13–18) — Join us at Lake Creek Academy (15460 Pin Oak Drive, Conroe, TX) for the opportunity to build friendships and have a blast in a space where respect, acceptance, and fun go hand-in-hand! Held every other Friday, so plan ahead and we'll see you there!

CISD Spring Break Camp

Who: Any student, K–12
When : March 9–13, 2026
Drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m.
Pick-up is by 3:45 p.m.
Where: Lake Creek Academy
Ages: 5–15 (drop off only)
Cost: $350/week for any student

Summer Camps

Unleash your creativity and discover your inner hero this Spring Break! From pop culture icons and pixelated worlds to magical quests and comic book adventures, we invite campers to explore what makes them legendary through design, storytelling, and hands-on fun.
